CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is the second most prevalent of the active ingredients of cannabis (marijuana). While CBD is an essential component of medical marijuana, it is derived directly from the hemp plant, which is a cousin of the marijuana plant. Most CBD products have no traces of THC, which is the psychoactive component of cannabis.

Yes. Though it’s often well-tolerated, CBD can cause side effects, such as dry mouth, diarrhea, reduced appetite, drowsiness and fatigue. CBD can also interact with other medications you’re taking, such as blood thinners. Another cause for concern is the unreliability of the purity and dosage of CBD in products which is why all of AMARO’s products are carefully produced directly from our farm to you. No alterations, no dilluting and no middle-man. We guarantee the quality and potency of every single product we sell. We also have the COA’s (Certificates of Analysis) from a 3rd party testing facility, available on all of our products. COA’s can be found HERE.

While CBD is federally legal to buy, sell and use in all 50 states, international laws make it difficult for us to ship outside of the US. Furthermore, certain states have their own regulations prohibiting the online sale of CBD products. These states are: Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Mississippi, New Hampshire and South Dakota. At this time we do not ship to those states. If you live in one of those states, please check back regularly as local and State laws are frequently changing to allow for the online sale of CBD products.
CBD is extracted from marijuana plants as either an oil or powder. These can be mixed into creams or gels. They can be put into capsules and taken orally, or rubbed on your skin. How CBD should be used depends largely on what it’s being used for. Talk to your doctor before using CBD oil.

A Certification of analysis (COA) is an accredited laboratory document showing the quantity of a variety of cannabinoids in a CBD product. Amaro does have a COA for each of our products. Our COA’s were completed by Harrens, an unaffialiated 3rd party testing lab. COAs can be found HERE.
